Automation Looked Great on Paper. Reality Had Other Plans.

I'm organizing a recorded panel discussion for Finance at the Jobsite focused on software implementation and process automation horror stories in construction-initiatives approved with the best intentions that created unexpected challenges once they hit the field.

This will be a small, curated panel to allow for honest, peer-level discussion:

    • 4 total participants (moderator + 3 construction CFOs/controllers)
    • Recorded and published as a podcast episode
    • Moderated, peer-to-peer conversation - not a vendor pitch

    Discussion themes may include:

    • Accounting software implementations
    • Project management or permit management systems
    • Accounting & HR automation (Payroll, AP, AR, WIP, HR)
    • Workflow and process automation
    • "Simple" integrations that turned out not to be simple, including:
    – Telematics
    – IoT
    – Computer vision
    – Voice AI

The focus is on lessons learned:

    • What went wrong
    • Why it happened
    • What you would do differently today

If you're a construction CFO or controller open to sharing a real implementation experience that others can learn from, I'd welcome your participation.
