Hi Jared,
You're in good company. We partner closely with Acumatica, and it really is a solid platform, especially for construction where equipment and cost tracking get nuanced fast.
One of the things we consistently see Acumatica do well is flexibility. While trucks and machines are straightforward as fixed assets, wall forms are a common gray area because they're shared, reused, and don't always map cleanly to a single asset or job. Acumatica's strength is that it gives you multiple ways to model this depending on how you want to track cost, utilization, and reporting long term without forcing you into a rigid structure.
If you're still early in setup, this is exactly the right time to pause and think through how you want that data to roll up operationally and financially. With the right configuration, Acumatica can absolutely support it and your VAR will be able to configure this for you.

Subject: Acumatica ERP - Job Costing Fixed Assets
Hi Everybody,
We are currently in the process of setting up Acumatica and are figuring out how we'd like to utilize the Equipment Timesheets. It's simple for the trucks, trailers, machines, etc. as they can be costed individually and tied back to their Fixed Asset profile - but we've hit a roadblock with our wall forms.
Open to any suggestions that could help us get around this roadblock!
