Sub Specialty Contractor

Would anyone be willing to share the position description your company uses for project managers, and/or what the key in office vs field expectation of the PMs are? Ideally, looking for trade/specialty sub companies, but will gladly take advice from GCs, as well. Thank you in advance!

Hi Will,

In our office the Estimating/PM team handles the paperwork side of running the projects they estimate - contracts, change orders, coordinating with our field staff. Our field superintendents (aka more informally as Road Men) oversee field project management for multiple projects. The field supers are in regular contact with the foremen who run the day-to-day work at each site, and with the office Estimators/PMs (often re scope).
