  • 1.  HR Portal with Multifactor Authentication

We subscribed to the Vista Web Portal (Keystyles), and we went with a Federated domain, which works great for our network users.  We need to get the non-network (and no Trimble ID) employees a way to use MFA to access their portal info.  Does anyone have a way to get this to work?  Only about 250 of our over 1,000 employees has a network/email account on our network.

    Afternoon Scott!

Been a few months since we spoke. Hope all is well.

The core issue is that Vista Web Portal access requires a Trimble ID and an email-backed identity, which works well for network users but creates friction for large craft populations without managed email accounts.

In those cases, contractors use a parallel field workforce/payroll system (e.g., Trayd) to support non-Trimble ID employees. Workers authenticate using any email plus phone-based MFA and have access to the same time, pay, paystub, and employee portal details they would see in Vista. They're simply captured and approved outside the Vista portal.

Network users can continue using Vista Web Portal as they do today, while non-network employees are supported in parallel.

Those approved details are then pushed into Vista through standard import or integration paths, so Vista still contains the full employee and payroll record - without requiring every field worker to maintain a Trimble ID.

Vista still gets the data, just not the logins.
