Sub Specialty Contractor

We are a subcontractor construction company that has been blindsided with a huge a million claim from a small town to repair road cracks with little evidence tied to us other than we were given a permit to drive the roads from the town thru our GC.  Any help/attorney/etc references are appreciated.  The was in the State of Maine.

Sorry, I'm not of much help with your request, but what kind of subcontract work do you do?  Were you scheduling a lot of haul trucks transporting aggregates on this one?
