Hoping to tap into the group's collective wisdom on payroll providers - specifically for a large GC environment.
We're a California general contractor in the public works sector and self-perform a significant portion of our work, so certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance are non-negotiables for us. Beyond that, we're looking to move away from a patchwork of systems and consolidate onto a single platform that can serve as our true system of record - covering timekeeping, employee onboarding, and HR/EE documentation management all under one roof.
A few things we're evaluating providers on:
- Certified payroll reporting (DIR)
- Prevailing wage rate management across multiple jurisdictions
- Field-friendly timekeeping (mobile, GPS, crew entry, etc.)
- Onboarding workflows and EE document management
