Every year at this time of year we are looking at our vehicle allowance stipend and wondering if we are doing what is best for both the company and co-workers. We provide allowances for Superintendents and Project Managers, and some others, at $600 and $700 per month. I am curious if anyone is using (1) a straight mileage reimbursement, (2) a fixed monthly amount to be adjusted for taxes, or (3) a taxed amount that would vary from what we payout for positions. Another other option would be to provide vehicles, but we are not looking to do that at this time.
