I am curious how many other companies have written SOPs for field operations. We obviously often see them for administrative functions but curious how many if any have SOPs for field? For those that do, what kinds of topics do they cover?

OMG is that a loaded topic. I would say all the professional GCs have field SOPs. Mine is a "how to" construction manual. The min is the obvious stuff:

daily logs (and daily safety)

RFIs, Submittals, Meetings, etc...

Mine includes how to for each component of a Commercial GC. I used to think that good people don't need good process, and good process can take the place of good people, but ever since I actually learned how to get jobs and complete them on time and on budget, I have been a proponent of good training and good process which enables good people to be more efficient, get more done with less effort....
