Hello Brian,

We have a successful Safety Boot program where we offer $100 a year.  We have a local vendor that allows our employees to purchase boots and they bill us for the $100.  Red Wing is generally a supplier that would participate in this type of program.  But there are generally very expensive.  We have a vendor named Work Wear Boots that is glad to work with us.  Not sure if they are a national supplier, but it might be work checking.  Anything over the $100 is the responsibility of the employee is required to pay at the time of the purchase.

During our annual benefit open enrollment meeting we give each employee a certificate that allows them to purchase the boots.  And of course we have a simple tracking process to ensure each employee only purchases 1 pair each year.  For new employees, we offer the benefit after 6 months.

We don't have an official Weld Helmet program, but would allow an employee to purchase at one our suppliers and we'll do a payroll deductions over 2 payroll periods.  Of course we would need the payroll deduction authorization completed in advance of the purchase.

We have a similar arrangement with Boot Barn.  We hand out $100 vouchers to employees on their first and 2^nd anniversaries with the company and then $250 vouchers each anniversary after that.  We do not have a weld helmet reimbursement program, but we do reimburse employees $100 if they get prescription safety goggles.
