    Hi All,

I work within internal finance operations and project accounting for a GC in the greater Philadelphia area. We were recently pitched the Procore Pay software and was wondering if anyone here has experience using the compliance and ACH payment functions? What's the good and the bad? How is your team using these tools day-to-day?

    Best,

    Hi Josh,

I implemented Procore Pay at a previous company, and it was quite a task. Initially, we expected more assistance from Procore in getting everything set up, but most of the work and testing had to be done in-house. We decided not to use the ACH payment function, so I can't provide feedback on that.

The compliance functionality was useful for tracking subcontractor documents, as long as there's a dedicated person to confirm that each subcontractor's insurance information at the project level is up to date. The lien waiver feature was a bit tedious, especially if you have various waivers. However, if you only use a few types, it's easy to set up and maintain.

The notifications in Procore didn't always work as expected. Project Managers weren't notified when a subcontractor submitted documents, so they had to set up reminders to log in weekly and check for anything new that needed review or approval.

Overall, while Procore Pay helped us track all subcontractor payment applications and compliance documents, it does require a fair amount of work to set up properly and test.
