Sub Specialty Contractor

Good morning,
We are looking to see if any construction companies currently utilize Plexxis's Win Bid software for estimating.  We are a mid-size to small interior finishes drywall subcontractor.  Our estimating team has been using the Edge for the past 20 plus years and we recently implemented Plexxis software as our ERP system.   We were in the process of implementing Win-Bid which feeds everything directly into the ERP system for job set up, estimates, and production quantities.   Our goal is to have one software platform.  The estimators are fighting back, and we are trying to figure out is this due to "change" or are there actual concerns with the estimating software.   

If you are using or used Win Bid, will you please share the pros and cons experienced.

We have been utilizing WinBid/ERP for roughly six years, and the overall experience has been outstanding. From onboarding to day-to-day operations, the Plexxis support staff was always available to troubleshoot or guide us through resolving whatever problem or issue we had.

Pros:

• • The estimating team's ability to collaborate simultaneously on the same project bid.
  • Ease and speed of loading drawings to WinBid
  • Loading of pre-set assemblies 
  • Seamless job cost export to the ERP and real-time budget/cost updates

Cons:

• • WinBid estimating formulas tied to UOM
  • Not having an approved/reviewed option in WinBid for management
