  • 1.  Need an audit/tax CPA firm

    We have been using the same CPA firm to do our annual audit, plus our tax returns for 25 years They are small and due to some personal issues at their company they are cutting way back on audits.  They recently informed us that they are not interested in preforming our audit this year.  So, we are looking to quickly engage another firm.  

    We are a small to mid-size company doing both sub-contractor work (infrastructure) as well as a general contractor (school buildings). All of our work is currently in Arizona, mostly in the Phoenix area. We are also a S-Corp with one shareholder.    If you could recomend anyone I will contact them to discuss details.

    We use Morrison, Clark & Company in Phoenix. We only do a review (and tax) but we have been very happy with them and they know Construction. 

    If you are looking for a bigger firm I used to work in Construction Assurance Services at Moss Adams (now Baker Tilly) and CLA and can recommend contacts at both. Those are both bigger firms so sometimes a bigger price tag and more turnover in contacts but they also get very specialized in their knowledge base so if you are moving towards more complex tax strategies (R&D credits, Cost Seg if the owner owns their building, etc.) those firms can be advantageous there.
