I work for a solar energy developer and construction contractor in northern New England. We have about 400 employees and our IT systems roadmap calls for a combination of CRM, ERP, PM Tool and HRIS as our core combination of enterprise softwares. IT reports through me and our IT team lead and i are trying to build out the IT staffing plan to support the business and the software stack. At the moment we are toying with a few different permutations of roles (Product Owner, IT Systems PM, Systems Engineer, Business Analyst) at different FTE levels and are interested to hear how other construction companies structure their IT organizations. We're less interested in the basic helpdesk and network support side of the IT organization. We're more interested in the support for the enterprise software.
We're not looking for a consulting firm to hire, so please no solicitation. Just look for any experience from similar organizations. I appreciate the help.
