If you've been seeking standards or KPI's to benchmark and improve your heavy equipment fleet's performance, look no further than the Heavy Equipment Comparator.  CFMA has partnered with the Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) to develop the Heavy Equipment Comparator.  The Comparator is the result of over a two year collaboration between CFMA and AEMP members and staff to select KPI's to measure significant factors and the resulting metrics which drive successful heavy fleet performance.

The Heavy Equipment Comparator will:
  • Provide a set of 32 KPIs to help measure your heavy fleet's performance and costs across 9 categories - cost, utilization, planning & scheduling, labor efficiency, financial, inventory efficiency, preventive & predictive maintenance, reliability, and safety
• Provide performance benchmarks to measure progress
• Improve collaboration among construction financial professionals and fleet managers
• Establish common terminology and standards to help financial and fleet managers identify issues, make adjustments, and improve fleet productivity and results
