We use Foundation and we have been using Field Materials for about 5 or 6 months. Here is our Staff Accountant's feed back:
Overall, I'd say that Fields Materials is working well. The program is doing what it should when submitted packing slips and invoices have the correct purchase order numbers on them. Having a good purchase order system already in place would be the key to a successful implementation. We didn't do it that way and has caused some frustration when the same PO number is being used for multiple vendors.
Fields Materials has not completely automated our AP. While it has saved a lot of manual entry, there is monitoring that we need to do to ensure that vendors and invoice numbers are correct. It also struggles to calculate taxes and discounts properly on certain invoices. Processing times vary for importing and exporting invoices. However, both the import and export processes are easy to complete.
A couple dislikes; invoice descriptions are automatically populated, and invoice viewing is not as convenient. Foundation doesn't support the invoice viewing link to Field Materials. You must copy and paste the link from Foundation into a browser or search for the invoice in Field Materials.
