Hi Everyone,
I currently work for a specialty construction company that designs and installs playground equipment. We have grown quite a bit over the last 5 years and are looking to implement a new ERP system. We are currently using QuickBooks Desktop and have more than outgrown it. What I'm curious to hear from all of you is how much I should consider spending annually on this new system. I am just looking for the annual system and maintenance cost, excluding the time, money, and effort it will take to implement it. For context, we are a $40M company and are looking to continue growing pretty rapidly over the next 5-10 years. Said differently, for companies of a similar size and industry, how much do you spend each year on your ERP system? Other thoughts or suggestions are welcome. I want to make sure we implement a robust enough system to handle our needs (we've already hired someone to help with the needs-wants analysis). I'm really just trying to get an understanding of what other organizations are spending to give me a benchmark to start with as we continue discussing our options.
