Just wondering if any other subcontractors have looked at Contract Review software?  Our current process is paper-based and we are trying to have everything be computer-based with AI review integrated as well.  ChatGPT helps to focus on issues, but wondering what others have used and would recommend.

We implemented Document Crunch almost 2 years and have been extremely happy with it.

What is Document Crunch and its capabilities?  It would be nice to have something that quickly review long contracts.

DocumentCrunch is a construction-specific AI based contrat review tool.  We upload all of our contracts to it and it quickly scans and earmarks all key areas that should be reviewed (Insurance requirements, bonding, liquidated damages, notices, etc).  It also gives you the ability to "chat" with your contract which allows you to understand it better.  It has been a game changer for us.

I really like First Rule.  I previewed the software on one of their webinars.  It is solid, scalable, and has one add on feature that is worth the entire price of the software for Kelley Brothers Roofing....a contract summary.  We waste time and effort with estimating, procurement, operations and accounting not fully understanding what the contract really says.  We ask contract questions over and over again throughout the job.  This summary gets the company singing from the same sheet of music so to speak.  We will seriously look at incorporating this software into KBR this summer.  If the add on feature is worth the price of admission, the buy decision should be a "no brainer".

Document Crunch is also good.  We often compete with each other in the market for contractors looking for AI contract review.  Major differences include our ability to scale with your organization (as Joe mentioned), our ability to create a company specific workflow, and we have a greater focus on analytics and risk scoring to help make it easy for you to decide to move forward with a contract (at our mastery tier).  Of course I am a bit bias on this...

Would welcome you to check out both products and decide for yourself.  To our knowledge First Rule and Document Crunch are the only two "built for construction" AI contract review products.  Everything else seems to have started as industry agnostic and are trying to get into the construction space.  But as we all know in this industry, construction contracts are just different!
