We currently use Sage 100 for Contractors and it's hosted locally on our server and we're not able to access this through VPN (which is a change I would like to make in the near term). We also process payroll in-house with Sage 100. Our in-house AP administrator is retiring after 17 years. We have been interviewing potential replacements. However, yesterday I met with someone who manages an outsource accounting team to discuss outsourcing accounts payable processing and bill payments (which would eliminate this position in our office but could potentially still cost the same). We would have to switch to Sage Intacct cloud version and then AP processing and bill payment would be handled with Bill.com and the outsource group would facilitate integrating the processing and payments into our GL and job costing. My question is, is there anyone out there who has made this kind of change to their AP processing and payments? If so, any feedback, good or bad, you could provide?
