Chapter Goals

By Stephanie Magenau posted 01-06-2017 11:05

On December 13th, our chapter leadership met for an end of the year wrap up meeting.  We discussed our many successes over the last few years since chapter inception, and we brainstormed about future opportunities.  We are committed to growing our chapter, and we've set our sights on earning the CFMA Chapter of the Year Award in 2017. There are many ways that our members can help us achieve our goals:
1.  Attend meetings regularly and participate in the discussion
2.  Invite colleagues to join the chapter and attend events
3.  Volunteer on a chapter or national committee
4.  Provide feedback on what topics you'd like covered at our meetings
5.  Suggest relevant dynamic speakers for our meetings

Other things that help us earn "points" toward a national award include:
1.  Renew your membership on-time (before April 1st)
2.  Participate in monthly CFMA webinars offered by National  (They are free and offer CPE!)
3.  Participate in the annual CFMA benchmarker survey

Together we can achieve great things!

Update:  As I mentioned back in December, our chapter leaders set a goal of earning the 2017 Chapter of the Year Award for our tier (35-49 members).  As of this morning, our goal has been achieved.   Congratulations Dakota Chapter...we are the 2017 Chapter of the Year for our size!  I am very proud of our chapter and this great accomplishment.  Special thanks to our board and committee members who pushed to make this happen:  Travis Solberg, Lyle Zahradka, Mark Julik, Wade Sandy, Marla Blakeway, Kristy Ertelt, Susan Bowman, John Reimer, Dan Nelson, Nick Peterson, Wayne Frisell, Nicole Michael, and Tony Oster.  Well done!
