    The entertaining and informative November 14th luncheon event, "Spinach in Your Client’s Teeth and Other Etiquette Dilemmas" at Bellevue's Ruth's Chris was a packed house! Arden Clise, President of Clise Etiquette, had attendees listening attentively, asking questions and participating in hands-on etiquette lessons. It was an enjoyable crash course on courtesy tips and social graces for both business and personal worlds.

    The Puget Sound Chapter of CFMA presented the 2017 CFMA Chapter Showcase, "Puget Sound & the Economist Who Loved Me." The Puget Sound and South Sound Chapters hosted a joint educational event featuring Anirban Basu who presented on the economy, with extra attention given to Washington state.

    Puget Sound CFMA received the Founders Recognition Award for its score in National’s 2017 Chapter Benchmarking and Awards. He advises contractors, subcontractors, owners and sureties in all types of construction matters and represents those entities in mediation, arbitration and court at the trial and appellate levels. He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Idaho and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law, where he was a Thomas Moore Scholar and executive editor of the law review. Rich is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in Washington, Idaho and Montana, as well as the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he was an infantry officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.   • Scholarship Package 2017-18

    This is the 19th annual offering of the Construction Financial Management Association Nebraska Chapter’s Scholarship Award. To date over $45,000 in scholarship money has been awarded. Scholarship(s) are being offered to people who are employees of or a dependent of an employee of a member company of the Nebraska Chapter. The Scholarship Committee with approval of the Board of Directors will make all decisions regarding the rules of eligibility and the amount available for scholarship awards.

  • Ronald McDonald House Volunteering!

    Another great event at RMD! This past Wednesday, March 17th, the CFMA Baltimore Chapter Board members had the opportunity to prepare breakfast for individuals staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore while their children undergo treatment at various hospitals in the area.  The temporary residents were able to enjoy a great breakfast and shared their compliments including: ·         “These sausages are great! No one ever browns sausage like I do, except for here!” ·         “The best part of this breakfast is the Mickey waffles, well everything is great, but you can’t beat waffles that looks like Mickey” ·         “My son was praying to god yesterday there would be waffles, but there weren’t. I’m taking one of these to go and give it to him”  The families were grateful for the breakfast provided and the CFMA was fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend some time giving back to the community!
