We are a Heavy/Civil engineering design and construction firm utilizing Viewpoint SPECTRUM and are looking to reduce our software spend. Our Engineering, Admin, and Construction management teams enter time via Spectrum pre-timecard entry but the timecard approval workflow is inadequate and antiquated. Heavy Job is used for field worker time entry and is manually imported into Spectrum via a CSV file each week. We've tested the Payroll Time Entry tool but our field management disliked it because it did not include a grid screen to enter time for crews but integrated nicely with Spectrum. We are also currently in the market for a new HRIS system (currently using Ascentis) and are also looking at adding the timekeeping module in Procore to replace Heavy Job.
Our goal is to consolidate and reduce our current software spend. What timekeeping tools do you utilize that 1) integrate with Spectrum, 2) have field entry (mobile) capabilities, 3) gathers timecard signatures and 4) include approval workflows?
