Hi Lea! Most of our clients either do that, or they utilize an HRIS platform to have their employees enter their own time. Most payroll companies provide this feature - they have a mobile app (with some having GPS for clocking in and out) and employees can just do it individually. Of course there's pros and cons to everything. The con would be that it would be recommended to reimburse employees for cell phone usage, but if they are already getting a reimbursement anyway, then it wouldn't make a difference. If you don't want them using their phones you can always have them input their time on a tablet at the jobsite as well.

Subject: Time tracking in the field
Good morning,
I just joined CFMA and was wondering how everyone does time tracking in the field. We are currently using Procore, where our foreman enters the time for his crew and the employees sign off daily, confirming the hours are accurate, but we are looking into new options for the new year.
