Looking for how other folks handle revising budgets in their accounting software. We use Sage 300 CRE and entered a budget for 2022 at the end of last year/beginning of this year. Looking at the actual numbers through June we decided to revise our budget through the last half of the year. We didn't revise the budget numbers Jan thru June in Sage but after entering the changes for July - Dec the new "original" budget is too high because it is just adding what was there Jan thru June. Hopefully that makes sense. How do others handle this? How do you keep track of original vs revised (when only a portion of the year is revised) vs actual?
