To minimize paper document flow to subcontractors, specifically subcontracts and change orders needing signatures, we're considering buying an annual prepaid volume of electronic "envelopes" from DocuSign.

Since subscription to the service is on an annual, prepaid basis, how did you estimate your demand?

Does DocuSign have software within their product that lets a customer track usage by project or contract?  This would be useful for allocating these costs among jobs using the service.

    Hi Paul.

We are a small GC in Idaho.  We used the free trial of DocuSign for 30 days and it was AMAZING!  We used it on a month where we signed a new contract and had subcontracts going out along with our normal change orders and lien waivers with payments.  Our quote came back at $1,200 per month and I just couldn't justify that cost for our small company, so we are still doing it by hand.  It's too bad because it is an amazing program.
