Good morning,
I am curious how detailed your process is when it relates to COIs for subcontractors on jobs. Currently, we are using CMiC which tracks the insurance information and flags any vendors that are out of compliance based on the COI date we have input.
We have been getting an individual COI for each respective job, meaning that if a subcontractor is working on 3 jobs for us, we have 3 separate COIs noting the same insurance information, however, each COI notes the separate project they are working on. Is this the typical standard for other companies, or do you just collect one COI for their policy period that you then use to cover each job they are working on as a blanket of coverage?
