We are currently using Maxwell Systems - Street Smarts Software and Smart Trak for field payroll & equipment time. Since  Maxwell systems has been purchased by Viewpoint, we are actively reviewing our options, and would appreciate any comments and recommendations.  As Sigfusson Northern is Heavy Construction, we have a large equipment fleet, so need management tools for preventative maintenance, utilization and costing to jobs...we also require user friendly Project Management software.  Most of our business is self-preform, so we don't required a lot in the Subcontractor, or RFI/RFQ abilities...We will require all accounting suite, along with Canadian & US payroll abilities.   We are using Heavy Bid for Estimating, and are planning on using Heavy Job, for foremen usage, but we are currently looking into Viewpoint, Dexter & Chaney, Explorer, Computer Guidance, and Penta as an ERP solution.

I'd appreciate any and all comments and suggestions as to your recommendations for ERP systems, their ability to meet expectations and limitations.

Hi, Debbie.
We are a heavy highway contractor with about 400 EQ pieces. We switched to Foundation in 2012 and have been very happy with the results both in usage tracking and maintenance. I would recommend them for your consideration list as well. foundationsoft.com

And also, we use Heavy Bid and Heavy Job and both import seamlessly into Foundation. We use Heavy Job Mobile for time entry in the field and it has made payroll 100% easier. :)
