I would like to reach out for recommendations on resources that can help outline what the position of Operations Manager entails?
We are a company that offers environmental, demolition, asbestos abatement, civil and tanks services. We have grown significantly this last year and had created the position of Operations Manager in the fall of 2013 in our efforts of being proactive for the growth goals in 2014. We had outlined the position to be the one person accountable for dispatch and overall equipment maintenance (we had also hired a full time mechanic that reported to the Operations Manager), and to dispatch and manage the field labor force. This became a very big struggle and we are wondering if this really should be 2 positions vs. 1?
