Accounting Manager Trainee
LOCAL GROWING CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LOOKING AN ACCOUNTING MANAGER TRAINEE WHO IS LOOKING TO GROW THEIR CAREER
We have an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a strong Accounting Supervision background to establish themselves with a growing company offering the potential for future personal growth and leadership opportunities. We are a rapidly growing contractor/build construction company looking for a self-driven talented Accounting Manager who has a proven track record and early in their career. The candidate must be able to meet the following:
Accounting Manager Trainee Responsibilities
- Working with the CFO, perform accounting functions needed to prepare of the Monthly financials for Subsidiaries with the plans to grow into Accounting Manager for entire company
- Must have strong background on Cash Management, Budgeting, and Financial / Job Cost Analysis
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all accounts payable and receivables, retainage and work in progress.
- Manage company cash flow
- Independently create and maintain detailed financial reports in coordination with CFO for timely updates with leadership team.
- Initially manage your self for the subsidiaries but must be able to assume role of managing and directing accounting team
- Prepare analysis and reconciliation of monthly financial activity
- Report, Monitor, and Present key financial and non-financial performance indicators
- Prepare and analyze consolidated reporting are all levels of the company
- Provide feedback on areas for improvement
- Experience with Construction ERP software including cost management and job/project profitability
STRATEGIC INITIATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop protocols that help establish consistent behaviors in financial operations.
- Implement and enforce accounting policies and standards
- Help CFO create an annual budgeting process
- Be the accounting leader for new ERP system as part of the team.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be a strong and organized individual with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.
Specific requirements include:
- Min. 5 years of experience in the accounting industry with 3 or more years in a supervisory role. Construction experience is preferred and will be deemed a decision separator
- 4-year accounting/finance or related degree required
- CPA, CMA or MBA is desirable but NOT A REQUIREMENT
