I have a question as it relates to Union Craft's that have Supplemental Dues; Target Fund & Vacation fund as part of the employees "Hourly Wage Rate".
All of the above are part of the employee's wage rate and are taxed, then the amounts specifically distinguished by the Union for the rates for each of the dues, target and vacation are deducted from employee's check and remitted to the Union.
My question...is the portion of the base rate that is deducted from the employee's check also subject to OT calculations? Or are they calculated per hour at a straight time calcuation?
Example:
Total wage package $35.00Base $28.75/hour - taxable and subject to OT and DT
Dues $2.00/hour - Taxed - are these straight time calculations
Target $.25/hour - Taxed - are these straight time calculations
Vacation $4.00/hour - Taxed - are these straight time calculations
