I haven't had training at the workplace, but did see a seminar at the AGC/CFMA conference this past October. It was an interesting hour talking about the misconceptions regarding these incidents, and a few ways to minimize your risks if an event would happen. The presenter's name is David Spotts, and he's recently retired after a 42 year career in law enforcement.
It's difficult for me to wrap my head around training for such as unlikely event as being in an active shooter environment, but I did find his presentation very informative.

Subject: Active Shooter Training in the workplace
Has anyone had Active Shooter Training done at their workplace? (trained professionals come to your workplace and recognize signs of potential violence around you, and what to expect after an active shooting takes place) If so, did you find it beneficial?
