Glynn Electric is seeking a Controller. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in all accounting and financial functions to support the company and its affiliated entities.
Essential Functions Include:
Financial Reporting and Management
The Controller will be responsible for the monthly and annual financial reporting for the company. The candidate will need to work directly with the President, CFO, their staff and company managers to perform the required tasks, which include;
Close the monthly and annual financial statements
- Annual audit information and reporting
- Organize reporting and participate in monthly CEO and COO meetings
- Address CEO reporting and projects
Processing Oversight
The financial functions are a critical part of the operational process within Glynn. Working with your staff, the CFO and others throughout the company, the Controller will help to ensure accuracy and consistency in our processes. These processes include, but are not limited to;
Cash Management
- Payroll process management
- WIP
- Vendor payments and lien waivers
- Vendor and subcontractor payment status
- Customer payments and lien waivers
- AIA billing
- Manage the Spectrum system and report improvements
- Support the company Operating Plan
- Develop and refine company reports
- Annual W-2 reporting
- Annual 1099 and 1098 reporting
- Employee work hours tracking and reporting
- Certified payroll reporting
- Fixed asset management
- Debt reconciliation
Software experience
Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
Spectrum (a plus)
Smartsheets (a plus)
Required Education and Experience
Five to ten years of direct experience in the construction industry
Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent)
