We recently added a 401k plan and were actually surprised to see a lot of interest in that under $1MM space. We ultimately went with a direct Vanguard plan that uses Ascensus as the TPA. In the process we also considered Charles Schwab and ShareBuilder among the top three competitors. Low fees to the participants was our overriding criteria and nothing we found could touch Vanguard on that front.
