During the last TX Legislative session, a new lien law was proposed that would have a dramatic financial impact on each of our company's rights and responsibilities. The proposal:
- eliminated all rights to "fund trapping" notices that are oftentimes the catalyst that result in payments from the GC or owners.
- requires a costly "pre-lien notice of furnishing" be provided at the beginning of every project, making your lien rights contingent upon gathering accurate project information at the time of order acceptance.
