I am looking at the possibility of using an insurance verification company to verify the insurance on our subcontractors. As a bigger subcontractor to the prime, we hire a lot of next tier smaller sub-subcontractors and it's a beating to try to get the small companies to comply with the terms that we should get and that we have signed up with in our contract with the prime or the owner. But I have heard that some of these verification companies use very inexperienced folks to do the verifying and therefore it is full of risk and I have no idea of the cost.
Are any of you folks using a company like this and have you had good experience or bad? If you do, can you at least give me an idea of the cost and how it is priced? My direct email is below if you would prefer to give negative comments and pricing privately.
