Q1. Why did you decide to get involved with starting the Siouxland Chapter of CFMA?
I had been a member of CFMA at large for the magazine for a number of years. I thought that having an organization dedicated to financial managers would be a great way to facilitate networking with others in the construction industry.

Q2. How has being a part of a local chapter brought value to your company?
The personal networking with others that I work with by phone on projects has been very valuable. It takes our ongoing discussions beyond just a phone call and makes them more personal. That and the programs were very informative and relate to issues that we are dealing with in todays world.

Q3. What is the biggest change you have seen in CFMA (local or national) since you joined?
The age of the participants has gotten younger! Maybe I am just getting older.
Q4. What do you hope to see from the Siouxland chapter in the coming years?
An avenue for young people in our industry to advance themselves and learn more that fits our industry. More young people to take over as us older ones get ready to retire.
