Topic:  Understanding Opportunity Zones

Since being introduced by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Acts of 2017, South Carolina Opportunity Zones grant funding has encouraged long term private investments in low-income communities throughout the midlands. We hope to bring more awareness to OZ opportunities in the midlands and answer any questions attendees may have in regards to Opportunity Zone funding.

Learning Objectives:

·         Understand what Opportunity Zones are and how they benefit the local community.

·         Identify Opportunity Zone areas located in the midlands.

·         Awareness of current and future Opportunity Zone projects

·         Learn how to maximize the impact of Opportunity Zones throughout South Carolina.
