Unfortunately, I might have a need for a good, but reasonably priced collections attorney in Southern California.  Any recommendations?

Hi @Frank Cinatl -- Sorry to hear about this situation.  While there are certainly true "collections attorneys" out there, my experiences have never been very good with these types of attorneys. Especially with respect to collection challenges in construction. Collection attorneys will approach your claim with run-of-the-mill collection tactics, and you could miss out on construction specific protections (prompt payment, lien, retainage rules, misappropriation of fund statutes, etc., etc.).

Here is a good directory of California construction lawyers who help with non-payment/collection issues.  In Southern California / Los Angeles area, I highly recommend Christopher Ng.
