Fleet Maint. Management

    We have a fleet of about 40-50 trucks. For companies with vehicle fleets around this size, who is responsible for making sure things such as safety recalls and license plate renewals are addressed? Currently our Accounting team handles these items, but we are considering moving this responsibility to either the assigned driver of the vehicle or our Safety department, but have received push back in the past when discussing these options.

    Good morning Andrew,
    Any good fleet management company should be able to provide you this service for a pretty reasonable cost. Using a service I have found is much more effective from a compliance standpoint as I'm sure your drivers are similar to most, some being very diligent and some not.

    Andrew,

    We have a similar size of truck fleet and have our facilities manager take care of the items you listed.  They also handle truck/driver changes, sale of older vehicles and initial information gathering when accidents occur.

    We use Enterprise Fleet Management and they have been great to work with.  We have had the same customer service team for several years and serve us well.  They can handle the items you mentioned, in addition to several other benefits.  Feel free to call me if you have any questions.

    I echo what Wes mentioned!  We have used Enterprise Fleet Management for several years and have been very pleased with the decision.  It is a very easy and efficient way to handle these fleet needs, especially as your fleet grows.  This is what they do and they do it very well!
