State Sales Tax Matrices

I am working on developing a sales tax matrix for each state where we operate to assist our Accounts Payable team with determining taxability on invoices and when we should accrue use tax.  In my research I found a company called Tax Matrix Tax Compliance and Recovery that will develop custom matrices based on your business, including construction operations.  We currently need to evaluate for development operations, construction operations, and leasing operations.  Does anyone have experience with this company, good or bad?  Any recommendations/suggestions on companies that will provide this type of service?

In the past (when working for a much larger company that did business in multiple states) I used a web-based subscription service called TTR (www.ttrus.com) … they are continually updating their database and they have a very user friendly web-site.  It was extremely helpful in answering complicated sales & use tax questions. I highly recommend them.

    Buffy,
Moss Adams has a heavy focus in construction and I have been doing sales/use tax for 15 years exclusively.  This is something we do for clients in many industries.  I would be happy to discuss this project with you.  https://www.mossadams.com/industries/construction

I am not sure if you have checked, but National was working on an All States Sales and Use Tax manual per se, that was compiling all of the states taxing issues.  I thought it was completed, and available for purchase.  I don't know if this would help you.

    Hi Betsy,
You are correct, we have all 50 states and Washington D.C. that were just updated and released in June. They can be purchased individually or all together.
