Another great issue of Talking Heavy was released in May.  If you have not yet had an opportunity to take a look, it's worth your time.  I found Preston Ingalls' article "Be careful what you wish for" where he addresses the impact of the potential stimulus package on the already short-fall in skilled trade workers, to be very interesting.  I am providing a link to this article below, but be sure to visit the CFMA website to see all of this quarter's terrific articles (including Anirban Basu's quarterly Economic Update).

Also, a quick reminder to everyone to register and take advantage of the Heavy Highway sessions at this year's virtual conference – the HH Committee has once again put together a number of great sessions (to be available On-Demand).  Sessions include - (1) Common Profit Leaks in Equipment Fleet Operations & Stopping Them with Technology; (2) Heavy Highway Technology Usage – Where It's Headed & What was Hot at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020; and (3) Impact of COVID-19 & the Future of Federal & State Funding & Programs.  There is so much great content, but you must register to get access.

Thanks for posting the article and for all your hard work on Talking Heavy.

I encourage everyone to sign up for CFMA's Virtual Conference, June 22-26, 2020.
On June 25, 2020, at 12:45 PM Anirban Basu will be giving his "Heavy Highway Economic Update". It is always a very informative session, and the presenter is excellent!

The remaining Heavy Highway sessions are on demand this year at a cost of $99. That computes to $33 per each session which are outlined in Dave's post.
You won't want to miss these presentations by Herb Brownett. Sara Fueuling and Dave Bauer, President and CEO of the American Transportation Roadbuilders Assoc.

Please support your Heavy Highway Committee by participating.
