We are an excavation contractor doing sitework, site utilities, demo, and we prime some jobs.

Currently our estimation process is done entirely through Excel, but we are interested in an estimating software. We have looked at HeavyBid (we are users of both HeavyJob and E360) and we have looked at B2W Estimate as part of their ONE platform.

Are there any others that we should be considering?

    Thanks for your time.

    Hi Nate,

What additional software packages are you using for accounting/finance? There are some great solutions out there that combine costing with several other pieces.

I have worked with B2W extensively and absolutely love the estimating side of the program. The field tracking side needs some work. It's a great fit for eathwork estimating, another one you should check out is HCSS. A little pricier and I didn't feel it was as intuitive as B2W but it's a favorite of allt of earthwork and heavy civil guys.

We use B2W Estimate. Our estimators have been very pleased with it and even the guys that were not too computer savvy picked up on it fairly quick.
