Vehicle/Driver Monitoring

I'm interested in knowing what vehicle mounted devices or apps others are using to track vehicle speed, braking, location, etc…
We don't really need the maintenance side, as we have that covered otherwise.

    Any recommendations appreciated.

We currently use NexTraq and it has some good features at a reasonable price. We are reviewing another option currently call Samsara. This vendor has cameras mounted in the vehicles and has great features to keep you drivers safe, provide visual evidence, and record alerts of things that should not occur.

We use Verizon Connect, they have several different options to choose from.  We use the camera, GPS and maintenance tracker.  It has been the best we have had so far.  We previously used Nextraq.
The cameras are mounted and locked on the top of the windshield.  It notifies you when there is any unsafe driving, harsh braking, etc.  The software is very easy and I can check all of the information on my phone from anywhere.

I recommend GreenRoad  We have used it on every company vehicle since 2014 and the things that I really like about it is that it focuses on safety and it puts the responsibility of monitoring driver safety on the driver.  A hardware device mounted in the vehicle monitors speed, hard braking, quick starts, harsh cornering, rapid lane changes, and location.  Every driver is responsible for their safety score: 0-20 is green, 21-50 is yellow, and 51+ is Red.  There is an led system mounted on the dash with a green, yellow and red light that corresponds to ones' driving risk at that moment.  Each driver has an application on their phone that allows them to see their infractions/events and take corrective action to get better.  It has made me a better driver. Immediately after installing it, our vehicle accidents dropped precipitously.
