Candid feedback on Acumatica?

    Hi folks,

Hoping to get an honest review from anyone using Acumatica.  We're on Sage 300 (integrated w/ Procore) and evaluating a switch.  Acumatica's Construction edition seems newer and there's limited feedback here in the CFMA forum.

Looking for any info on ease of migration, favorite features, experience with their tech support, ease of check/ACH prep and if you use Acumatiscan, functionality of Procore integration, etc.

    Thanks kindly!

    Hi Jeffrey,

We use it and I have also used Sage 300. It is less complex than Sage 300 for sure. We are also using Procore, although we are not integrated with it yet.

I found that the implementation went well, with the typical import options most software provides. I chose to manually enter some things, but that was just to have some historical detail. My favorite features are the various import/export options, and it has great connectivity to Microsoft Office. I use that feature a lot as opposed to standard reports just because I have so many custom reporting requirements for different external parties. However, the reports are way easier than the way I had to use Sage 300.

I have done many software conversions and this was an easy one (as far as conversions can go). The team was great during implementation and the ongoing support is great.

Feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any additional questions.

We are a specialty subcontractor with a focus on Commercial HVAC, Controls and Building Technology with >100 employees and we are in the process of transitioning to Acumatica.

We were attracted to Acumatica for several reasons:
    - unlimited user license model, for cost control
    - modern infrastructure which allows for integration with best of breed 3rd party applications like Sales Force, in our case
    - ability to consolidate and efficiently manage multiple related companies, efficiency and ability to grow
    - robust reporting capabilities coupled with unlimited custom fields, usability to meet our specific needs

We are a couple of months out from going live. So far we have been really pleased with everything we are seeing during our configuration and training sessions. I know from past experience, this can be an issue as you come across functionality, that you thought you were getting but its not there. Not so with Acumatica, no bad surprises, in fact its feature set is broader than what can currently handle, so it a matter of not turning on too much functionality.

I am the champion for our company, and may be biased, but I am not hesitant about promoting this solution, as it was by far the most complete and best value, of all the solutions we looked at in my opinion.

Feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss more.

I'd like candid feedback about this product, too.  It looks intriguing.  We are a GC that also has a service division, so I would be interested in hearing from someone who might be using both.  The software was brought to my attention by our Sage 300 consultant after voicing our frustration with Sage.

We are a general contractor in the Las Vegas market and went live with Acumatica in September 2019. We also use Procore and utilize integration features. We have been very pleased with our choice, from implementation to training, to routine support and maintenance. With the current COVID situation and work from home for a period, a cloud-based solution was flawlessly and easily implemented. I attended the user conference here in Las Vegas in January of this year. They are currently planning on really elevating the construction platform and their semi-annual updates suggest they are working at that goal. Their revenue model allows you to pay for what you use. No more, no less. Your VAR should be able to guide you in the proper choices during discovery. Having come from a client/server-based ERP, I was apprehensive about losing the ability to access data directly as I did with ODBC straight into Excel. Acumatica offers export directly into Excel, but also offers direct data access used for data mining and analysis. In short, I have no regrets with our decision, feel they offer a lot of value for their subscription fee, and as a ground-up solution based on the cloud, have positioned themselves ahead of the curve regarding the future of construction-related ERP systems.
