Heavy Highway Contractor

We are considering switching from Vista Viewpoint to Foundation Software and are trying to decide the best time of year to make the conversion.  Can anyone tell me generally how long the implementation process takes?

We switched from QuickBooks to Foundation on 1/1/2019, in order to save ourselves from having to import payroll history from the year.  It saved us some potential hassles trying to get W2s out the door if things didn't import smoothly.  We started the process in late September and had weekly meetings with our trainer throughout the year, and for a couple of months afterwards while we were getting our feet wet going live on January 1.  Overall the process went fairly smoothly, with most questions answered quickly.  Had a couple of minor issues, but support helped out once the trainer moved on.
