Sub Specialty Contractor

Hi Everyone,

Our ops team is trying to improve our man power scheduling, forecasting and field communication. We are a mechanical contractor operating in multiple states that has in house labor and utilizes subcontractors. Currently, man power is updated/forecasted through excel which works, but as we continue to grow we are in need of a better solution. We have begun looking into Procore and Microsoft Project, but we are hoping there are some better solutions out there.

I'd really like to hear what programs/systems some of you have had success with.

Hi Ray,

We use Console for scheduling, field communication and timekeeping.  It's a fairly simple mobile friendly app.  The guys get a text with their schedule for the day. 

We have about 250 field personnel in multiple states and it's worked well for us.

We're an electrical contractor and we use Labor Chart.  It integrates with Vista, handles scheduling, forecasting, and field communication.
