We use Office Connector, which works great for Cost to Complete/ Job Cost Projections.  Office Connector lets you create an Excel Spreadsheet, using Sage 300 data.  You can refresh at any time.  We use it for a lot of different purposes, and have found it to be easier than designing reports inside the software.

We are just beginning Phase 2, which is to write back to Sage 300 when the job cost projections are updated.

It took me 3 months to get Job Cost reports to agree to GL, which was really frustrating, but at last we are in sync. So we use Sage reports for some of the inputs for a WIP schedule in Excel, but currently are not effectively using the SOV to create a solid CTC in the system. I'm very interested in using the system more fully in this regard and am interested in hearing others' experience.
