Our company has just started the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) program and I was wondering if any other companies are using this system and would be willing to share what scorecard measurable they use.  Thank you

Congrats! EOS is a great management system. We have been using it for two years and have had great traction.

Im not running a construction company so my scoreboard and KPI’s wont be relevant to you.

I would highly recommend retaining an EOS integrator to help you with this as well as other aspects of the system.

Let me know if you need a referral.

    Good luck!

We are using the system, in fits and starts.  We are still not fully set with our scorecard, but we do have some metrics.  The majority of the financial metrics are monthly, not weekly.

Weekly: Cash balance, Line of Credit balance

Monthly: Revenue per Production FTE and Revenue per FTE, Days in AR, Months in backlog, COGS %, Operating expense %

Non-financial: Bids completed and bids accepted, Client visits, T&M jobs waiting, # of callbacks (warranty work), Injuries.

I am also currently reviewing some KPIs from the CFMA Financial Benchmarking report to use.

We are a union electrical contractor, focused on new construction as well as major building rehabs.

Good afternoon. I found this thread when attempting to determine the definition of "Production FTE". Can you tell me what classes of employees should be included in this definition?

Eileen, we are on the same page, and review on a high level monthly some of the same key metrics; weekly, some of the other items we review are focused on cash flow: the change in AP & AR balances for the week, change in cash, sub-contractors that are "Pay Fridays", Overtime hours. When you see the changes weekly it is easier to visualize trends in cash flow.

We are using the EOS model.  I track sold, proposals, backlog, invoicing, risks and for reference a year over year. Attached is a sample, if that helps. Feel free to ask any questions. I also recommend the book and EOS website for downloads and examples of forms and such.

If you would like a free 90-minute call to introduce your team to EOS, I highly recommend Jessica Stackpoole. We did a call with my team a few weeks ago and everyone is very excited to get started. I was connected to Jessica through YPO and really appreciate her experience and no-pressure approach. The call was jam packed with great info on EOS.  Her email is:

I have used the EOS system since 2012 and highly recommend it. It is based on the book "Traction" by Gino Wickman. I would recommend reading the book as well as making sure you use a certified EOS Trainer/Coach. The key is accountability to drive results..

We have been using EOS for a little over 2 years and it has done alot of great things for us.  Establishing a vision and increasing accountability have been things that our leadership group and employees have longed for.

I have attached our scorecard template so you can see another way of tracking things.  Its not 100% EOS pure, but we adapted to what worked for our business.  We are working to now cascade this scorecard into a departmental/location scorecard next.

If you have any questions on EOS, I would be happy to share my thoughts.

We're in the beginning stages of EOS and are about 9 months in and are still trying to solidify our scorecard. We have trailing metrics, but are having some challenges with leading indicator metrics outside of estimating and service work metrics.

Thanks to those of you who've shared your scorecards!
