We are a group of specialty subcontractors, covering trades including site work, concrete, steel buildings, mechanical and elecrical, and painting / general trades. We also do limited General Contracting. Our volume is approximately $50 million.
Previously we used Foundation, which we generally were happy with as far as job cost / accounting. We wanted enhance our project management technology, as well as collect data from the field in real time. We ultimately chose Viewpoint, which we have just implemented. It is much more comprehensive than Foundation, but does require more set-up and support resources. Thus far we are pleased, although we have much more work to do to fully implement it. The major reason for our change was extending technology into the field to better manage projects and labor.
