05/10/2016- Annual Scholarship Presentation   

The CFMA of Massachusetts is very pleased to announce the continuation of the decades’ long practice of awarding annual scholarships to students pursuing continued education.

This year, six, outstanding individuals who are pursuing degrees in Accounting/Finance, Construction Management or Engineering were awarded their scholarships at the May 10th chapter meeting. This year’s recipients are:

Jennifer Mague, who is maintaining a 3.69 GPA at Worcester Polytechnic Institute while actively participating in the Society of Woman Engineers and the American Institute of Engineering Societies;

Joseph Frissora, who is studying engineering at Northeastern University, is active in the President Elect of the Northeastern University College Republicans and has worked as a coop student for Suffolk Construction and interned at D&B Engineers and Architects;

Kristi Kirshe, a three veteran of the Williams College Woman’s soccer team and representative to the College Student Athlete Advisory Council, will spend the summer working as a project accountant at Consigli Construction;

Emily O’Connor, ranks 13th in her class at Coyle & Cassidy High School while participating on both the women’s lacrosse and volleyball teams and will begin her college career, in the fall, studying accounting at either Bryant University or UMass Amherst;

Kyle Flannery, maintains a 3.46 GPA at UConn where he is pursuing a degree in business/finance while working with the Boy Scouts having achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Kyle has worked as an intern in the accounting department of BOND Brothers over the past four years;

 

Chris Benham, attends Fitchburg State University where he is pursuing a degree in construction management, interned for Suffolk Construction on the Boston Medical Center Project and was asked to come back while continuing his studies in Fitchburg.

The CFMA of Massachusetts is proud to be able to assist these future industry leaders in achieving their educational goals. This program has been continually funded via the chapter’s annual golf tournament that will be held this year on September the 20th at the Sandy Burr Country Club in Wayland.
