About the presentation:

In the market place the “Baby Boomer Effect” is being felt across all industries, Construction is no exception. There is an unprecedented generational shift of businesses expected through 2030. Nearly 80% of family-owned businesses have no succession plan in place. The program will focus on the broad topic of Business Succession and the considerations that owners of a business should take. A construction company is somewhat unique in that its real assets are its people. Planning your successor and making sure your team will align with the new owner are key to an ownership transition. We will discuss some triggers for succession planning, succession strategies, key challenges (including how to find the buyer) as well as the essential elements for a successful succession. Finally we will cover the risks of avoiding succession planning until it’s too late.
